CMSC 10600

Fundamentals of Computer Programming II (C++)

Prerequisites: MATH 10600, or placement into 13100 or equivalent; or consent of departmental counselor. CMSC 10500 and 10600 may be taken in sequence or individually. This course meets the general education requirement in the mathematical sciences.

Catalog Description: This course is an introduction to computer programming using the object-oriented programming language C++. We emphasize design and algorithm construction. Topics include complex types, iteration, recursion, procedural/functional/data abstraction, classes, methods, inheritance, and polymorphism.
