Catalog Description: This course covers advanced topics in operating systems and systems research. Possible topics include, but are not limited to the following: parallel computing and multiprocessing, threads, message passing, networking, distributed systems, linkers, loaders, dynamic loading, debuggers, garbage collection, software components, file systems, and security.
