CSPP 53015

Datamining and Datawarehousing

Prerequisites: 53001, 55001

Catalog Description: This course comprises two smaller courses, one in datamining and one in data warehousing. The datamining course deals with techniques and methodologies from extracting knoweledge from large sets of data while the second one deals with creating a particular kind of large sets of data. Datamining reviews classical and emerging algorithms for information retrieval and expects that students have a solid understanding of discrete math and algorithms. Datawarehousing discusses the architecture of enterprise-wide data analysis and expects that students have a solid understanding of databases.
