Laptops
You may use your laptop to connect directly to our network. Our network uses DHCP to provide a dynamic IP address and routing information to your system.
Wired connection
There are ports on the 4th floor where you can plug in an ethernet cable connected to your laptop. Please do not unplug any computer in the lab, the machines are monitored, updated and used remotely, a network connection is necessary for them to operate correctly. If you need to borrown an ethernet cable, stop by our office in Ry254.
Wireless Connection
All of Ryerson, including the 4th floor, is served by the University's wireless network. There is an authentication system that requires a CNET account and password to log on. Please see our Wireless Page for details.
