OpenOffice is an office productivity suite, containing various desktop applications, such as a word processor, spreadsheet, presentation manager, and drawing program. It is installed on our Linux machines, and can by launched from your Applications menu, or by typing openoffice at a terminal prompt. OpenOffice can open and edit most documents created with Microsoft Office applications.
