We are a global luxury hotel marketing and representation firm headquartered at 311 South Wacker Drive in downtown Chicago. I am writing to inquire about the possibility of hiring computer science students from your school for part time, temporary, or internship work with our internal development team. If you could let me know if this is possible, or put me in contact with whomever I should be asking this of, it would be most appreciated.For a little bit of detail about our needs: we are in the process of completely rewriting most of our internal business IT infrastructure, which will need a lot of heavy lifting done by our small development staff, but will not ultimately produce enough work in the immediate future for a full time position. This position would be an ideal learning experience for a student or entry level developer, as we are re-building our environment more or less from scratch. Work will include developing web applications in C# and ASP.net, taking part in designing and maintaining enterprise data systems in Microsoft SQL Server, developing SOAP/XML webservices and external applications to consume them, and will extensively deal with a variety of industry specific third party applications such as central reservation systems, global distribution systems, and third party reservation interfaces. All of this technical experience is of course also paired with the regular day to day experiences with project management, code and user documentation, code versioning systems, requirements gathering, planning, and interacting with software users.
