Server Side Quality Engineer Internship
Palo Alto, CA
Do you often feel as though everyone comes to you for help on setting up and configuring Linux? Palantir is looking for the brightest QA engineers with strong knowledge of Linux and a passion for quality. You'll utilize your technical skills and detail-oriented mindset to perform rigorous testing of the latest features.
Responsibilities:
* Review preliminary spec designs
* Design test cases using functional requirements
* Run test scripts and validate functionality
* Perform regression and verification testing
* Find and file defects; verify fixed deficiencies
* Test for scale
* Work with developers to ensure a successful, high quality release
Requirements:
* Pursuing a B.S. in Engineering/CS, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
* Coursework in Algorithms, Software Engineering, and/or Operating Systems highly preferred * Experience with Linux/Unix
* Experience with Bash shell scripting, or another scripting language (Python, Perl, Ruby, etc.)
* Familiarity with relational databases (SQL)
* Ability to work in a fast moving environment with quick turnaround objectives
* Excellent teamwork, independent decision making, and written/verbal communication skills
* Analytical thinking, problem solving, and attention to detail
* Finance or Mathematics background is a plus
