Research

My research interests are in the broader field of massively parallel processing for database applications. In particular I am interested in the ways that optical interconnects and volumetric optical memories enhance the performance of conventional computing systems and enable the design for faster special purpose supercomputers. I am also interested in optical network architectures, and technology and public policy.
