Schedule: Class (by instructor) usually MWF 9:30 - 12:00, Ry-251. Problem session (by TA) usually TuTh 9:30 - 11:00, Ry-251. Additional hour of problem solving TuTh 11:00 - 12:00, Ry-276. For schedule updates, check Peter May's REU 2014 website.
The problem sessions are an integral part of the course. Come prepared, contribute your thoughts.

Class notes

Notes for classes 1-8, 10-12, and 14 were written by Benjamin McKenna, checked by Julie J. Huh. Notes for classes 9 and 13 written by Daniel Parker. I am grateful for their work which has served as an essential reference throughout the class and even more so for those who continue to work on the material after the conclusion of the course.

Caveat: The instructor proofread and edited the notes to varying degrees; some rather carefully, some not at all (the latter are marked "Not proofread"). Inaccuracies may occur in all notes. Read them critically; please notify instructor of errors.
