Advisor: Rick Stevens

Former researcher at IBM’s T.J. Watson Research Center (NY): projects on visual question answering on the edge, long-range weather prediction, and probabilistic solar forecasting.

M.Sc. Pure Mathematics, M.Sc. and B.Sc. Industrial Engineering, head TA and lecturer at the chair of Statistics and Econometrics KIT.

I work on optimization under uncertainty, in particular high-dimensional Bayesian optimization. I’m particularly interested in applications for combinatorial and mixed search spaces in BO such as drug discovery, neural architectural search, and hyperparameter optimization. Moreover, I collaborate on creating a large language model to enable scientifically grounded AI.
